SUMMARY
Over the last two years, the Port Authority had adopted goals and itemized a work plan, aligning
activities to the specific meeting dates. The Goals focused on the following issue areas:
Downtown Redevelopment
UMore Park Development
Commercial Amenities
Industrial/Business Park Development
Communications, Marketing & Regional Cooperation
Planning & Development Process
Staff has started to pull together some work tasks for the upcoming year, based upon the meeting
calendar. With the Council starting their goal setting, the Port Authority should wait to discuss their
goals until the Council work is complete. In the meantime there are several meeting topics inputted
which will frame the next several meetings. The Port may also have two new members so it may be
beneficial to wait until all members are appointed before setting goals and the final work plan. If
there are specific tasks members would like to discuss, please raise them now so they can be
included in a future meeting agenda and staff can adequately research the item.
RECOMMENDATION
Discussion Item. This item will be brought to the group for discussion at several future meetings.
