Administrator ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: ddj RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Reappointment of Jim Voelker as Assistant Fire Chief for a Period of Three Years. ISSUE This is a recommendation to appoint Jim Voelker to the position of Assistant Fire Chief for another three years. His current term is expiring at the end of March, and according to Fire Department policy, the Assistant Fire Chief is to be selected from applicants meeting the minimum qualifications for the position. In this application process, Mr. Voelker was the only applicant. Jim has been the Assistant Fire Chief for six years and a member of the department since 1997. He is well qualified to continue in the position and it is thereby recommended that his assignment to the position of Assistant Fire Chief be confirmed by the Council. SUMMARY Staff recommends that Council approve the Reappointment of Jim Voelker as Assistant Fire Chief for a period of three years.
