ISSUE
In concert with the trip to ICSC, staff indicated we would be putting together a brochure for the
appointments and meetings while in Las Vegas. The draft brochure is attached for the Port
Authority's review. It is consistent with the previous brochure from 2011 but has been updated in
terms of demographic content, maps, and contact information. As mentioned previously, staff
anticipates bringing some of the brochures to the appointments to aid in discussions but will follow
up with electronic copies after the Conference. The two primary brokers of vacant land, Rydeen and
McCaffrey are aware of our efforts and have provided some feedback which is incorporated in the
attached document. Staff is looking for comments to finalize the brochure.
Staff continues to work on setting up appointments while at the Conference. We are still at 4
confirmed appointments but have had a few people who said to stop by their booth. As a result of the
appointment inquiries we have also received some feedback about setting up appointments here in
Mpls, as not all the regional representatives will be in Las Vegas. We have also received valuable
feedback about which businesses are not expanding in our area. The spreadsheet is included for your
information. It is getting close enough to the conference that staff would like to book travel. I want to
confirm that the three Port Authority members are still able to attend. Further, I know people were
hoping to have more appointments set up by now and I can't guarantee how many more we will get.
However, there are booths where attendees can talk to specific retail reps and there are many
conference sessions to attend which will provide good information. I did contact a broker we've
worked with locally and he mentioned the "off floor" networking. He stressed that ISCS is an
opportunity to forge relationships which may help in future economic development initiatives.
I have spoken with Buxton and indicated we are very interested in getting a pursuit package for CVS
which is one of the appointments we have made. There may be others we think would be good to
approach. I indicated we weren't interested in just updating the previous information from the initial
20 companies but looking into some new retailers also.

Survey, almost 50% of the residents desired more retail
opportunities in the community. And the population here is
ready to shop: with a median income of $80,841 and a
household size of 2.88, residents are looking for local goods
and services., Rosemount's population grew by over 50% in
the past decade and continues to grow at a steady pace.
REDEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY
This City -owned property was purchased to jump start
redevelopment in the historic Downtown. A 60 -unit
� senior housing rental project will be completed by the end
y of 2015, and that coupled with the 105 -unit apartment
across the street brings a neighborhood customer base.

Rosemount Crossing — Located at the busiest intersection in town

such as Sprint, Starbucks Coffee, Fantastic Sams, and Eddie Chang's.
