HomeMy WebLinkAbout20140506 CCM SWS ROSEMOUNT CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS MAY 6, 2014 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof of a special work session of the Rosemount City Council was th held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 8:15 p.m. in the Conference Room at City Hall, 2875 145 Street West, Rosemount. Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Member DeBettignies, Weisensel and Demuth attending. Council Member Shoe-Corrigan was absent. Staff present included City Administrator Johnson, Assistant City Administrator Foster and City Clerk Domeier. The purpose of the special meeting was to discuss recent personnel issues. Discussion was held on the appointment of an interim police chief. The City Council supported staff’s recommendation to appoint Bryan Burkhalter. It was also decided that the recruitment process should mirror the process used in 2012. City Administrator Johnson also provided an update on the Teamsters union negotations. A majority of the City Council supported staff’s recommendation to allow for 80 hours of comp with minimum staffing requirements. Council Member Weisensel did not support the recommendation. ADJOURNMENT There being no further information to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste, second by Demuth, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 9:13 p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Amy Domeier, City Clerk
