• ROSEMOUNT. MINN.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Regular Meeting of the
Utility Commission of the City of Rosemount was duly held on
August 7, 1978, at the City Hall.
Prior to the meeting the Utility Commission met at the City Garage
on Brazil Avenue to observe a demonstration by ZECO Co. of their
Water Ram Machine.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by President Jensen
with all members present.

Motion by Hasbrouck to approve the minutes of the July 10, 1978
Regular Meeting as printed. Second by Jensen. Ayes were three.

Motion by Jones to authorize the purchase of the ZECO CO. Water Ram
Machine as demonstrated at the garage, with the approval of Don Brown.
Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were three.
President Jensen reported that he had discussed the 145th St. Storm
water problem with the City Engineer, and the Engineer is to come up
with some recommendations to rectify the problem.
• Hap Hanson, Business Manager of the Dakota AVTI was present to disucss
with the Commission, future sewer charges, when the AVTI completes their
irrigation system that is presently planned. The Commission laid this
matter Over to their next meeting.

Don Corrigan, Corrigan Electric; Bob Eller, Northern States Power;
and Ken Benson, Dakota Electric were in attendance to discuss the
possible change in the type of poles and lighting to be used in
new residential subdivisions.
Motion by Jensen to recommend to the City Council that a Change Order
be approved for the "Carrollton Addition" in regards to Street
Lighting. That the type of poles to be used, be Fiberglass Poles,
with Colonial High Pressure Sodium Lighting, with minimum 100
wattage. And further, that this recommendation be carried on to all
future new residential developments, as well as those residential
areas presently without lighting. Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were
three.
Rick Cook reported that the Water Tower work has been completed,
and that the Tower is back on line, and also that Well #6 is in
good working order again.
Rick Cook also reported that Don Brown had been in touch with
Rosemount Dodge, who had complained that some of their cars were damaged
by paint from the water tower, and that this was being discussed with
• the Contractor.
Motion by Jensen to adjourn. Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were three.
