Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Regular Meeting of the
Utility Commission of the City of Rosemount was duly held on
March 9, 1981, at the City Hall.
The Meeting was called to order by President Walsh with all members
present.

Don Brown presented two quotes for cleaning and inspecting the Water
Tower:
Municipal Tank and Tower Co.
Elevated Tank Service Co.

Motion by Westin to award the.Wax Cleaning and inspecting of the Water
Tower for the quoted rate of 2,600.00., to Elevated Tank Service Co.
Sioux Falls, So. Dakota. Second by Walsh. Ayes were three.
Motion by Hasbrouck to authorize Don Brown to purchase up to six (6)
in -line filters: for installation in 'various locations throughout the
City to determine if there is any iron bacteria present in the system.
Second by Westin. Ayes were three.
Don Brown presented a memorandum outlining various corrections which
should be made in the U of M housing addition plat prior to approval
of the Plat. The memo is to be attached to these minutes.

Motion by Walsh to recommend to the City Council that the Utility
Commission highly recommends that the U of M be required to comply
with all provisions of Don Brown's memorandum prior to final approval
of the proposed plat. Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were three.

Don Brown and Richman Cook reported to the Commission that they had
picked up a 30KW stand -by Generator from the Federal Surplus at Arden
Hills on a trial basis which needs some parts for $850.00.

Motion by Westin that Don Brown be authorized to research further the
possible acquisition of the 30KW stand -by Generator, and that if it can
be put into a workable condition for a reasonable amount,to authorize
purchase. Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were three.
Don Brown updated the Commission on the.possible hiring for the new
position, with the report that it appears this may by June 1981.

Member Westin reported that the Metropolitan Waste Control Sewer Service
Area #6 Advisory Board Meeting will be held at the Rosemount City Hall
• on April 30, 1981 at 7 :30 P.M., and that members of the Metropolitan Waste
Control will be in attendance with a slide presentation on their facilities
and will be available for questions and answers.
Motion by Walsh to adjourn. Second by Hasbrouck. Ayes were three.
