After review and discussion of the information presented by Davis Electronis and Consolidated Electric it was determined that a system adequate to handle the job would cost approximate 700.00 from Davis Electronics and the cost from Consolidated Electric would be 836.50. Motion by Hasbrouck to purchase a paging system with two pagers from Davis Electronics at a cost of $699.12 installed. Second by Walsh. Ayes were three. President Walsh asked the Commission to consider the purchase of a remote radio unit for Well House V. This would provide a unit to alert all mobile and remote radio units when the paging system triggered an alarm. Approximate cost of a single remote unit is $200.00. Second by Westin. Ayes were three. No report was available on having owner's responsible for all water billing payments. Commission directed that research not be initiated until they again request that this be pursued. He outlined the demands and requirements that have been generated during the plat review process. Don Brown reported on the generator he has obtained on an approval basis from the Surplus Depot. It has been transported to a Commercial shop for repair to the governor. If that problem can be fixed the unit will be fully functional and will be accepted and installed. Don Brown informed the Commission that he is awaiting results of water tests before proceeding with acquisition and installation of in line water filters as part of the research into the smelly water problem. • *14 • 0 (qjityof osernouni A--!I A 7 4r%04 1367.145TH ST. Should they be replaced with the same kind of unit, should they be replaced with units that can accept outside readers or should they be replaced with complete outside readers. Also, an increase in the quarterly maintenance charge is in order due to the increase in meter cost for outside readers. Motion by Westin to refer the Terry Duffy claim to the City Council with the understanding that the Utility Commission denies responsibility for the claim but upholds the claim presented due to evidence offered by Don Brown. Second by Walsh. Ayes were three. Don Brown informed the Commission that he attempted to have a separat¢ service placed in the Leo McDonough house as part of the smelly water research but the McDonough's elected not to have the installation completed. 04 • • gl(pi t Y of semount 1367 -145TH ST. Don Brown received some results by phone but indicated he would not present them for discussion in this form. He feels the results were to long in coming and should be questioned as to their validity. Commission directed Don Brown to cause the same tests to be performed by a different testing firm. 980 annual report is not available yet. Will try to have ;:,for the May meeting.
