REGULAR MEETING PROC

CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Comm
held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 3:55 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2
Street West, Rosemount.
Chairperson Alex called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Corrigan, Denn:
Mohamed, Munson, Narloch, Nelson, Neuens, Norder, Oliphant, Schalliol, Simmering, NX
Wuellner attending. City Council Members Shoe - Corrigan and Weisensel, Staff Liaison F(
Recording Secretary Harrington were also present.

OLD BUSINESS
5.a. Swing Dancing Event
Foster requested that anyone unable to fulfill their volunteer commitment at the swing dai
let her know in order to inform RAAC if additional volunteers would be needed. Everyon
signed up to participate indicated they will attend the event as planned.
NEW BUSINESS
6.a. Goal Setting
The brainstorming session facilitated by the Council members resulted in a list of goals. F
Commissioner was given three stickers and asked to identify their top three, Commissions
and Nelson left at 4:30, leaving 13 Commissioners to vote. The chart below is a summary
goals and corresponding number of Commissioner votes for each.

6.b. Roundtable Discussion
Commissioner Narloch explained the premise of a Leadership Conference she recently att
with Commissioners Dennis and Norder and other Rosemount High School Student Cou
National Honor Societv leaders. They all aoreed it was a Great experience that empowered
Commissioner Simmering was encouraged by the increase in participation at sponsored e`
year and looks forward to the Swing Dance event along with Commissioners Alex, Schalli,
Neuens.
Commissioner Mohamed attended the Star Wars event at the Steeple Center and was surp
the large number of people in attendance as well. She found it to be a very positive and ft
for the community.
Commissioner Munson is looking forward to the upcoming RHS Bella Voce event.
Commissioner Wick announced that auditions for the RHS play Beauty and the Beast will
in March.
Commissioner Dennis will be involved along with many other school and community gro-
completing the world's biggest puzzle (24,000 pieces). He indicated that RHS will be the I
school to complete the puzzle.
Commissioner Corrigan congratulated the RHS Marching Band's performance in the Rosf
Parade. She talked with people from Hawaii who knew of and liked our community and t
commitment.
Commissioner Wuellner congratulated the RHS Mock Trial team's recent tournament win
Weisensel reported on the recent events regarding the job eliminations at Target Corporat
Shoe - Corrigan reported that due to conferences, she will not be able to attend the swing d

None.
7.b. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting of the Youth Commission is scheduled for February 26, 2014 at 3:45 p.i
Hall. The Youth Commission will review and refine goals from the goal setting session.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Alex and seconded by Narloc
meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at
