HomeMy WebLinkAbout20111026 YCRM MinutesROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS OCTOBER 26, 2011 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 3:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 1451h Street West, Rosemount. Assistant City Administrator Foster called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Olson, Nelson, Hagen, Kutz, Laumer and Alternate Drew attending. Councilmember Weisensel and City Clerk Domeier were also present. Youth Commissioners Eichten and Neuens were absent. INTRODUCTIONS All persons attending the meeting provided an introduction about themselves. OATH OF OFFICE City Clerk Domeier administered the Oath of Office to the Youth Commissioners and alternate. Youth Commissioner Eichten will be sworn in at an upcoming meeting. DISCUSSION 5.a. Procedures City Council Member Weisensel and Assistant City Administrator Foster both explained the procedures for running an effective meeting. 5.b. By -Laws Discussion was held regarding the Youth Commission, the by -laws, the operating structure, previous commission topics, etc. ELECTION OF OFFICERS 6.a. Chairperson, 6.b. Vice Chair, 6.c. Secretary Due to the fact that the Youth Commissioners are still becoming acquainted with each other the election of officers will be held at the next Youth Commission meeting. CONSENT AGENDA Motion called to approve the consent agenda. Motion by Olson. Second by Hagen. Motion to approve the consent agenda. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Absent: Neuens, Eichten. Motion carried. REPORTS The next Youth Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 15 at 3:45 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Rooms. ADJOURNMENT ROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS OCTOBER 26, 2011 There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Commissioner Kutz and seconded by Nelson that the meeting by adjourned.
