RECOMMENDED ACTION: Meet with Mr. Misba Rehman and others regarding their concerns
with maintaining private streets in the CrossCroft neighborhood.
BACKGROUND
Mr. Misba Rehman has requested time to speak to the Council regarding issues relating to the maintenance
of the private streets in their neighborhood. He has indicated that the City of Victoria has dealt with a
similar matter in the past. I contacted the City of Victoria early this week to inquire about this but have
not heard back as of this writing.
I am including a policy from the City of Plymouth that was originally created when I worked there in the
1990’s and was updated in 2012. While staff is not taking a position that we should take over any private
streets, the Plymouth policy could be a starting point for discussion if the Council is interested in
researching this matter.
