RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to Approve the draft 2016 Port Authority Budget
ISSUE
In late spring all departments put together a draft budget. The Port Authority has its own budget although
flects the initiatives the Port Authority has taken on over the last
several years, the Open to Business program, participating in Greater MSP, and 1/3 of the Buxton retail
attraction program. There are also funds available should the Port Authority decide to attend ICSC next
year. The other main budget item is the Business Appreciation lunch which the Port has sponsored for the
last several years.
Staff has initiated the hotel market study in 2015 and therefore does not expect additional costs associated
with hotel attraction in 2016.
RECOMMENDATION
Members should discuss the draft budget and if comfortable with the proposal, approve the draft.
