ISSUE
On Thursday,July 9,2015 the Rosemount City Council held a special woxk session meeting as a follow up
to the Recrearion Facilities Suminit that was held in February. The main focus of the meeting was the
discussion regarding the requests for a second sheet of ice,indoor court space and an artificial turf field
and possible future dome.

The City Council followed up this meeting by discussing the same topics at their regular woxk session on
Monday,July 13. The City Council directed staff to work with Dan Corley and see if the City can find a
way to assist with the development of his private health club/field house called the Dakota Fieldhouse.
The Council also directed staff to have a site assessment completed fox the Rosemount Community Center
site to see if it would be possible to add a second sheet of ice to the location.The final item that the City
Council asked staff to do was to discuss what sort of priority use Dakota REV would want if we were to
partner with them on a turf field and future dome. The packet for this work session meeting is on the City
