This year xecyclables and organic materials (papex products and food scrapes) were collected at the Run foY the Gold, the Leprechaun Days Paxade, and at the Midsummer Faire. According to weight readings we took during the event and from information supplied by our gaxbage hauler, DSI,it looks like we collected approxunately 500 pounds of organic materials, 2060 pounds of cans, botdes, and cardboard, and appromately 1650 pounds of trash. This means that appxoximately 61% of materials that would have otherwise ended up as trash were xecycled in some way. The amount of organics collected this year was down dramarically fYom the last few years because there was no one selling corn on the cob this year.
