ISSUE
The topic of naming the park in the Prestwick Development was recendy brought up at a Parks and
Recreation Commission meeting. Currently City staff refers to the park as Prestwick Park. When this
development was fitst cYeated,it was called Prestwick Place. The residential property south of Connemara
Trail has since been xenamed Falmoor Glen and the residenrial development noxth of Connemara is still
called Prestwick Place. The map included in the packet idenrifies how the residential areas are named. The
City rypically names city parks after subdivisions, stxeets, or histoxic land owners.
Staff would like for the Coinmission to discuss a process for naming this park.
