RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order #4 for the items listed in the
executive summary and to increase the Steeple Center project contract by $35,537.50.
ISSUE
Construction on the new Steeple Center addition is nearing completion. There are some changes that have
been required to the project. The changes have been identified in the list below and also on the attached
change order request submitted by the City’s architect, Kass Wilson. The main portion of the change order
is for upgrading the electrical in the Assembly Hall portion of the Steeple Center that will allow us to add
future improvements to the space such as air conditioning, lighting, etc.

Curtain Wall Columns – metal covers $1,288.00
Added Fire Extinguisher - Kitchen $226.76
Added Signage $282.24
Manhole cover replacement $504.09
Electrical – Addition to Assembly Hall $23,744.00
Flooring Underlayment $8,233.98
Room 202 VCT $416.19
Radiant Heater removal $842.24
Total $35,537.50
Staff has reviewed the change order requests and feels that all of the changes to the project are necessary
and will leave us with a better facility.
SUMMARY
Staff is recommending that the City Council approve Change Order #4 with the additional items listed in
the executive summary, increasing the project contract by $35,537.50.
