Bids were opened September 29 and a contact was to be awarded October 6. The low bid contractor for the project was also the
Wells 4&5 Keys Well contractor for Well 5 in 1963.The contractor produced construction records for Well 5 that have complicated the sealing project.

Observation Well (on hold) presently discussing the Well 5 abandonment procedures with MDH and DNR officials. The recommendation for the award of the
contract is for only Well No.4 and the Chippendal Observation Well at this time.
