ATTACHMENTS: None. APPROVED BY: ddj RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to declare the Listed Items as Surplus Property and Authorize Staff to sell them. ISSUE The Police Department is requesting that the City Council declare three police squad cars as surplus property. This declaration will authorize staff to sell the surplus items. BACKGROUND The Police Department has recently replaced several fleet vehicles. We have replaced a 2001 asset #20013590 Chevy Impala and 2010 asset #20103510 Crown Victoria squad cars with two new 2015 police interceptor sport utility squad cars. We have also replaced a 2009 asset #20093550 Chevrolet Silverado Community Service Officer vehicle with a new 2015 Dodge truck. Because of the replacement, the older squad cars are no longer needed in the department. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends Council authorize to declare the three police vehicles cars as surplus property and authorize staff to sell them.
