Discussion
Now that the Splash Pad has been through a full season of operation, staff would like to update the Utility
Commission members on the water use at the facility. Staff is open to sharing ideas and hearing concerns
about the amount of water used at the location.
The table on the following page summarizes the water use at all City parks and facilities over the past three
years. It is important to note the following items about the data contained in the table:
2015 figures are through third quarter only (2013 and 2014 figures are for the full year).
Water usage is read at each facility on a quarterly basis. When there is a faulty reading, an estimate
(the past 3-5 year average) is used for that quarter at that facility.
2014 figures for Bloomfield Park and Meadows Park are estimates (average of the past five years)
due to faulty meters at those locations through the entire season.
