RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Motion to approve the tobacco licenses as listed for the period January 1, 2016 through
December 31, 2017.
SUMMARY
The City of Rosemount will begin licensing tobacco beginning on January 1, 2016, taking over the
licensing activity that had previously been done by the County. The following applications have been
received for a biannual license beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2017:
Cub Foods #1651 3784 150th Street W
Green Leaf Tobacco, Inc. 3808 150th Street W
Holiday Stationstore #222 15066 Chippendale Avenue
Kwik Trip Store #697 14810 Robert Trail So.
MGM Wine and Spirits 15047 Crestone Avenue W
Rosemount Amoco 14460 Robert Trail So.
Rosemount Liquor & Wine Cellar, Inc. 3440 150th Street W
Super America 14515 Dodd Blvd
Walgreen’s #4038 15034 Shannon Pkwy.
Rosie's Market 14685 Robert Trail So.
All of the above establishments are currently licensed with Dakota County to sell tobacco products. Two
of the establishments, Rosemount Amoco and Holiday Stationstore, had failed compliance checks in June
2015.
The Police Department conducted a background check on each applicant. Applicants were required to
and have submitted proof of insurance, license fees of $550, a description of their tobacco training
program, and the necessary local and state paperwork for the application.
Staff recommends approval of all tobacco license applications listed above.
