RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve entering into contract with OpenGov
to provide financial transparency / analytics website.
SUMMARY
Staff has been researching transparency and analytics websites for about a year, one of which is
OpenGov.com. In that course of the research, staff has determined that OpenGov provides the
best option for the needs of the City at this time. The site will be linked to the City’s website as an
outside service that will provide financial transparency and performance metrics to the community,
as well as be utilized for internal reporting analytics.
The setup charge for the site will be $1500 and the annual subscription fee is currently $6000, which
will be locked in for three years. The contract may be cancelled at any time and the city is only liable
for the current year subscription.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approving motion to enter into contract with OpenGov to provide financial
transparency / analytics website.
