Beverley Miller ProclamationPROCLAMATION Whereas, Beverley Miller has served as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Valley Transit Authority since its inception in 1990, and Whereas, under her leadership, the transit authority has grown substantially to meet the demand for transportation services in seven of the fastest-growing cities in Minnesota, and Whereas, Beverley Miller has benefited the citizens of Rosemount who seek to travel in a convenient and affordable way, particularly through the addition to the community of a park and ride facility and express bus service, and Whereas, Beverley Miller has received state and national recognition for her leadership that provides nearly three million riders each year with an economical and safe means to reach their work and their homes. Now, Therefore, I, William Droste, Mayor of the City of Rosemount, with the endorsement of the Rosemount City Council, do express and acknowledge the contributions of Beverley Miller to Rosemount’s quality of life, and wish her well in her retirement.
