RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving Plans and
Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids for the Danbury Way Improvement
Project, City Project 453
BACKGROUND:
On July 21, 2015, the Rosemount City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for
the Danbury Way Improvement Project. The preparation of plans and specifications for this effort, City
Project 453, has been completed and are on file in the Engineering Department.
The Danbury Way Improvement Project includes the reconstruction of approximately 6,300 feet of
roadway. The project is proposed to include the following:
• Removal and replacement of the existing subgrade and pavement
• Installation of surmountable concrete curb and gutter
• Installation of storm sewer, storm sewer treatment structures, and rain gardens
Advertisements for bid will appear in the Rosemount Town Pages and Finance & Commerce on January
28, 2016 and February 4, 2016. Bids will be opened on February 19, 2016.
It is anticipated that construction will begin in June 2016 and anticipated to be completed by August 2016.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the advertising for bids for
the Danbury Way Improvement Project, City Project 453.

RESOLUTION 2016 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
DANBURY WAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 453
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Danbury Way Improvement Project, City Project 453, and such plans and
specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of
the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 453.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than
three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating
the bids will be publicly opened on February 19, 2016 at 10:00 o’clock a.m. at the
Rosemount City Hall in said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby authorized by the Council.
