RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion Authorizing Execution of an Amendment to the Joint
Powers Agreement with VRWJPO to Fund an Intercommunity Flow Stormwater Model
BACKGROUND
In July 2015, City Council authorized entering into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Vermillion River
Watershed Joint Powers Organization (VRWJPO) for a cost share to evaluate the feasibility of future
stormwater outlets from the City south and east to the Vermillion River.
As the study is still ongoing, the VFWJPO is requesting that the City sign an Amendment to the Joint
Powers Agreement to amend the term of the Joint Powers Agreement from December 31, 2015 to March
31, 2016.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends City Council approval of the First Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement with
VRWJPO and authorization to execute it.
