RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve an Agreement with Northern Natural Gas
for Crossing and Authorize the Necessary Signatures
ISSUE:
City staff requests Council authorization to execute an agreement with Northern Natural Gas for the
construction of the 1.5MG Ground Storage Tank and Booster Station within the Northern Natural Gas
Easement as part of Engineering Project 0179.
BACKGROUND:
Attached for Council consideration is an agreement with Northern Natural Gas for the installation of
storm sewer and sanitary mains during the construction of the 1.5MG Ground Storage Tank and Booster
Station. Execution of the attached agreement authorizes the City to work within the easement and install
pipe that will cross over the existing gas pipeline owned by Northern Natural Gas.
A copy of the agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council authorization of the attached agreement with Northern Natural Gas.
