ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: ddj RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Reappointment of Richard Schroeder as Fire Chief for a Period of Three Years. ISSUE This is a recommendation to appoint Richard Schroeder to the position of Fire Chief for another three years. His current term is expiring at the end of March, and according to Fire Department policy, the Fire Chief is to be selected from applicants meeting the minimum qualifications for the position. In this application process, Mr. Schroeder was the only applicant. Rick has been the Fire Chief for three years and a member of the department for 18 years. He is well qualified to continue in the position and it is thereby recommended that his assignment to the position of Fire Chief be confirmed by the Council. SUMMARY Staff recommends that Council approve the Reappointment of Richard Schroder as Fire Chief for a period of three years.
