RECOMMENDED ACTION: Provide direction to staff regarding a final design for the public
park in the Greystone development or motion to approve concept plan C for the public park
in the Greystone Development.
ISSUE
At our MaYch 28 regular Commission meeting,we discussed the plans foY the public park in the Greystone
Development.A few years ago the developer dedicated 4.9 acres of la,nd to the City to be used as a public
paxk. Staff had discussed the possibility of having additional park land dedicated with the future phase of
the development. Staff recendy had Loucks Incorporated cYeate two concept plans for the public park in
the Greystone development.After reviewing and discussing the park plans, the Commission directed sta,ff
create a final park plan that included a pla,yground,gaga pit, trails, fle�uble open play area,basketball court,
community garden with water,water fountain,pollinator gaxdens and landscaping.
Sta.ff would like for the Commission to discussed the upda.ted park plan pxoposal and provide feedback to
staff on what dixection we should go with a final park pla.n. Should the Commission be satisfied with the
plan as presented,the Commission can consider making a motion to approve the paYk plan.
Should funding be availa,ble later this summex or early fall,staff is recommending we start construction of
the new park.
