RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order No. 3 for Well No. 16, City
Project 416
BACKGROUND
As a part of the Well 16 project, the well contractor was required to monitor groundwater elevations
during the test pumping of the well. The Rosemount Water Department has utilized Summit
Envirosolutions for ongoing observation well monitoring equipment and services. Summit
Envirosolutions was able to utilize some of the existing city monitoring locations to the satisfaction of the
MnDNR by recording the groundwater elevations on a more frequent basis during the Well 16 pump
testing activities. The cost of the additional groundwater monitoring services during the test pumping was
$318.75 which the City of Rosemount paid directly to Summit Envirosolutions. Accordingly, this amount
needs to be removed from the contractor’s pay request. A copy of Change Order No. 3 is attached.
These contract changes result in a net decrease of $318.75 to the current contract amount of $433,424.00
for a new total of $433,105.25.

Staff recommends Council approval of Change Order No. 3 for Well No. 16, City Project 416.
