RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order No. 2 for Horseshoe Lake
Stormwater Lift Station, City Project 466
BACKGROUND
During construction of the forcemain as part of the Horseshoe Lake Lift Station project, when connecting
the existing 10” and 16” forcemain installed with the Bella Vista 3rd Addition, it was found that the
forcemain was not installed at the location and elevation assumed during design. The contractor
performed work to realign the forcemain and make the proper connection to install the forcemain and lift
station. The amount for Change Order 2 included time and materials for the work performed by the
contractor. A copy of Change order 2 is attached.
These contract changes result in a net increase of $10,638.00 to the current contract amount of
$645,933.00 for a new total of $656,571.00. All costs associated with Change Order No. 2 will be funded
by the Storm Core and Stormwater Utility Funds.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends Council approval of Change Order No. 2 for the Horseshoe Lake Stormwater Lift
Station, City Project 466.
