RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Appoint the following Youth Commissioners:

Andrew Saal

ISSUE
The City Council received 16 applications from Rosemount residents willing to serve as members on the
Youth Commission. Eight of the current youth commissioners have reapplied to serve on the next
commission. According to the Commission bylaws, the term shall run between the May Annual meetings
of each year. The Commissioners may be reappointed.
The City Council held a meet and greet for those interested in serving on the commission on May 9th. At
that evening’s City Council Work Session, the Council discussed appointing all of the applicants as Youth
Commissioners. The caliber of talent and enthusiasm of the applicants who applied for the Commission is
encouraging. Staff looks forward to working with this group of young leaders.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the above-stated motion to appoint the commissioners.
