ISSUE
On Tuesday,May 17 the City held a referendum asking residents to approve spending up to$15,000,000
on sevexal recreational amenities including a new indoor ice axena, two additional baseball/softball fields at
the UMore Ball Fields plus lights on all four fields, four additional athletic fields fox soccer,lacrosse and
football at the Flint Hills Athletic Complex, and an ice skating/event plaza and new play axea at Central
Park.The unofficial outcome of the vote was 56.6%no votes and 43.4%yes votes.A total of 2,977 voters
cast ballots.This number was up from the 2,858 voters that took part in the 2008 referendum.Listed
below is the breakdown of voting by precinct.
