the Mayor Signature
SUMMARY
MVTA is working on a federal grant application (CMAQ) to expand local transit service in Rosemount.
Grant funding would permit extension of the service to DCTC to allow transit dependent students the
ability to access the college from Rosemount and Apple Valley. This transit expansion has long been desired
by the Council and would be a welcome addition for the community.
A consultant has been hired to complete the application which is due in mid-July. Staff has not received a
draft of the application as yet but has provided information for the application and will be able to review the
document prior to submission. A letter of support should be included with the application.
RECOMMENDATION
Motion to approve the letter of support and authorized the Mayors signature.
