RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve a 90 day medical leave of absence
SUMMARY
Firefighter Pat Miller has been on a medical leave of absence from his duties since June 20,
2016 and is at this time in need of extending his leave to September 18, 2016. Miller was
approved of a 60 day medical leave of absence thus far per department personnel policy.
According to the fire department personnel policy, a medical leave of more than 60 days
requires city council approval. Medical documentation has been received to warrant approval
of an additional 30 days which will put him at a total of 90 days of inedical leave from the
department.
I am requesting approval for an extension of inedical leave for Pat Miller from August 20th to
September 18, 2016.
