BACKGROUND
Open Gov is transparency software that puts the City’s financial and selective other data online using
charts and graphs. It is both searchable and customizable.
We have soft launched the product on our website but have not yet promoted it. We will demonstrate
some of the functions at the work session and plan to publicly announce it and promote it as a part of the
preliminary budget presentation on September 20th.
The link to the Open Gov section of our website was provided in last week’s Summary of Events. For
your convenience, the link is http://ci.rosemount.mn.us/transparency. We will demonstrate the
“views” currently available as well as how to filter and customize the information and graphs.
