ATTACHMENTS: None APPROVED BY: ddj RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion award the City Hall/Central Park sign project to Think Digital who provided lowest price quote in the amount of $36,739.00. ISSUE An item that is included in the Project and Initiatives list for the City Council’s 2016-17 is to install an electronic entry sign on 145th Street near the City Hall/Central Park entrance that can be used for events and government meetings. This topic was recently discussed at a City Council work session and staff was provided direction to move forward on the sign project. The sign that was discussed measures seven feet, three inches wide by six feet, five inches tall. The electronic reader board portion of the sign would seven feet long by three feet tall. Included in the packet is a drawing that shows the measurements of the sign. Staff recently received three price quotes for the purchase and installation of the sign. The price quotes we received are listed below. Name Bid Think Digital $36,739.00 Albrecht Signs $42,997.46 Lawrence Sign $43,264.00 Staff is recommending that the City Council award the project to the company who provided the lowest price quote for the project, which was Think Digital. Should the City Council approve awarding the project, two items that we will be working on with the sign company are the location of the sign and graphics for the top portion of the sign above the message center.
