Port website packet memoEXECUTIVE SUMMARY Port Authority Work Session Date: November 1, 2016 AGENDA ITEM: Review of Economic Development AGENDA SECTION: Website Old Business PREPARED BY: Kim Lindquist, Deputy Director AGENDA NO.: 4.a. Alan Cox, Communications Coordinator ATTACHMENTS: APPROVED BY: ddj RECOMMENDED ACTION: Information Item ISSUE Last month the Port Authority discussed the economic development website and some examples of other websites as depicted in the webinar information. Alan Cox, Communications Coordinator, also reviewed 10 suggestions for community websites. At the meeting, the Port Authority discussed ways to enhance the current website and wondered about differing ideas to include. It was determined that a work session to discuss the website should occur. Staff has provided the same information as received in the last packet. Additionally, Mr. Cox provided information about use of the existing economic development website, for the first 9 months of the year. We will be meeting in the conference room, so the group can review the website while we are discussing potential enhancements. USAGE OF CURRENT SITE These statistics show the visits to each page in the economic development section of the City website. 2015 figures are for 12 months; 2016 figures are for nine. Unique pageviews mean each visitor is counted once even if the visitor returns to the pages multiple times.
