Ehgibility was based upon a determination of the presence of critical infrastructure within a community Since that tune, Police Department staff has worked to develop the necessary plans and complete the required application process to satisfy the grant requirements. The requirements of the grant program have been met and the City of Rosemount has been awarded a grant m the amount of $145,134. Counal is asked to authorize the mayor and city admuustrator to execute the grant agreement on behalf of the City. There is no matching fund requirement for the grant. Funds from this grant will be used to purchase equipment enhance the Police Department's capabilities to protect and secure critical infrastructure and key resources within the community. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR A 2005 BUFFER ZONE PROTECTION PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $145,134. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota that the City enter into a grant agreement with the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the program entitled 2005 Buffer Zone Protection Program William Droste, Mayor, and Jamie Verbrugge, City Administrator, are hereby authorized to execute and sign such grant agreement and subsequent amendments as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the City Council of the City of Rosemount.
