SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS
NOVEMBER 5, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 7:37 a.m. in Room 200 at the Steeple Center, 14375 South Robert
Trail, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members DeBettignies, Nelson, Weisensel
and Demuth attending.
Staff present included Assistant City Administrator Foster and Fire Chief Richard Schroeder.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR INTERVIEWS
Two interview panels interviewed the four finalists separately throughout the morning. One
interview panel consisted of the Mayor and Councilmembers. The other panel consisted of
Staff/Community members: Paul Eggen, Jeff Ellis, Emmy Foster, Michelle Hoagland, Richard
Schroeder, Vicki Stute, and Tim Wynes.
Richard and Irina Fursman served as facilitators. After the completion of the interviews, the City
Council considered and discussed each finalist in order to reach consensus on their top candidate.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR SELECTION
Motion by Droste. Second by Weisensel.
Motion to Offer the City Administrator Position to Logan Martin Contingent Upon Successfully
Passing the Background Check and Other Pre-Employment Items in Accordance with City Policies
and Practices, and Authorize the Mayor to Negotiate the Terms of the Employment Agreement as
Discussed.
Ayes: DeBettignies, Nelson, Droste, Weisensel, Demuth
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by DeBettignies, the meeting was adjourned at 2:37 p.m.
