ACTION: CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SIJMM "RY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: May 3, BACKGROUND: On Friday, April 29, 2005 bids for the referenced project were received and read aloud publicly. The bids will then be reviewed for accuracy before a recommendation can be made. This project includes the construction of streets and utilities to serve 118 dwelling units within the Meadows of Bloomfield 3rd Addition development. The Developer, Centex Homes, will fund all costs associated with the project with the exception of trunk utility oversizing costs for the watermain. The watermain oversizing costs are proposed to be funded by the Water Core Fund. SUMMARY: The tabulation of bidders, resolution and letter of recommendation to award will be provided at the Council meeting. � J . � . � � . . . . . . The low bidder was Northdale Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of$1,580,315.70 which was $150,000 below the engineer's estimate. Staff recommends that City Council adopts the resolution receiving the bid and awarding the contract for Meadow of Bloamfield 3rd Addition. ` « . r CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2005 — A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR MEADOWS OF BLOOMFIELD 3RD ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS � CITY PROJECT#380 � BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows: 1. All bids on construction of the Meadows of Bloomfield 3�d Addition Street and Utility Improvements are hereby received and tabulated.� 2. The bid of Northdale Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $1,580,315.70 for the construction of said improvements are in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted. 3.
