CONTRIBUTION OF $500,000 TO THE CITY TOWARD ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR A
FUTURE LIBRARY SITE
ACTION:
SUMMARY
The Board of Trustees of the SKB Environmental- Rosemount Community Trust are donating
$500,000 to the City of Rosemount to assist the City in its efforts to purchase land for a future
branch Dakota County Library.
The City has a purchase agreement with the Church of St. Joseph for its South Robert Trail
campus. The sale was expected to close on Friday, January 14 but may be delayed as title
work is cleaned up.
The Trustees will present a ceremonial check to the City Council. In addition to recognizing
SKB Trust Fund Board, invitations were sent to the chair and executive director of the Dakota
County Library Board, officials at Church of St. Joseph, and others that were involved in the
site selection and acquisition process.
