ROSEWOOD VILLAGE 2 ND ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT #378 AND AUTHORIZE THE NECESSARY SIGNATURES
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
Change Order #2, Rosewood Village 2 nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City
Project #378 includes the addition of $29,467 66 to the original contract amount of
$443,123 59 for a new total of $472,591 25
The work included under Change Order #2 was for a storm sewer pipe sizing change to
avoid a sanitary sewer conflict and to minimize sanitary sewer manhole builds, crew
time for pumping water out of a storm manhole due to the temporary outlet being
removed by the developer, crew time for removing unnecessary bends in existing
watermain, clearing and grubbing trees that were not removed as part of the grading
operation, additional grading for a parking lot as requested by the developer, the
addition of 21" RC Pipe that was not on the original bid tabulation and a watermam
offset to avoid a conflict with a storm sewer manhole
All work done was either at the request of the developer, Progress Land Company, or
agreed upon by the contractor, developer and City staff

The following contract quantities are modified as shown on the attached detail The quantities reflect the following changes
1 Time and material to avoid sanitary sewer conflict with storm sewer crossings and to minimize santia y sewer depths
2 Crew time for pumping water out of STMH 5021 that was filled due to the removal of the temporary HDPE outlet by the developer
3 Crew time for removing existing 8' DIP bends to prevent overdepth
4 Clearing and grubbing trees between MH 5205 and MH 5201 that were not removed during the grading operation
5 Additional grading work for parking lot on Loop Street east of Blanca Avenue
6 Crew time for lowering watermam to avoid conflict with STMH 5204
7 21 RC pioe sewer design 3006 Class III
