EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
For City Council consideration is a recommendation to hire Mr Mike Kasel for the position of GIS
Coordinator Mike has worked for the Department of Natural Resources and most recently as a GIS
Specialist for WSB and Associates He has a bachelor's degree in natural resources (including civil
engmeenng courses) and is attending graduate school to obtain a master's degree m GIS It is anticipated
that Mike will begm working for the City of Rosemount on August 29, 2005 pending Council approval and
negative results from his pre employment drug screen
