RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve an additional 60 days medical leave of
absence
SUMMARY
Firefighter Pat Miller has been on a medical leave of absence from his duties since June 20,
2016 and is at this time in need of extending his leave to January 17, 2017. According to the
fire department personnel policy, a medical leave of more than 60 days requires city council
approval. Medical documentation has been received to warrant approval of an additional 60
days which will put him at a total of 210 days of inedical leave from the department.
I am requesting approval for an extension of inedical eave for Pat Miller from November 18th
to January 17, 2017.
