BACKGROUND:
SUMMARY:
CITY COUNCIL
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The proposed reconstruction of Old County Road 38 from Trunk Highway 3 east to Akron Avenue
(County Road 73) is bang designed to Municipal State Aid standards. In anticipation of high projected
traffic volumes and in accordance with Municipal State Aid requirements, the estabhshment of "No
Parking" along this segment of Old County Road 38 is necessary.
Staff is recommending that City Council adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking and authorizing
"No Parking" signs along Old County Road 38 from Trunk Highway 3 to Akron Avenue.

WHEREAS, the reconstruction of Old County Road 38 will be constructed in 2006 as City Project #387,
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its residents; and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high volumes of
vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount; and
WHEREAS, vehicle parking along both sides of Old County Road 38 from Trunk Highway 3 to Akron
Avenue does create a hazard
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount directs the
installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs on both sides of Old County Road 38 from Trunk
Highway 3 to Akron Avenue
