ROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
OCTOBER 26, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was
th
held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 3:47 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2875 145 Street West,
Rosemount.
Commissioner Schalliol called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Armstrong,
Demuth, Edgar, Johnson, Powell, Wuellner and Yambing present. Commissioner Alex arrived at
3:55 p.m. Commission Chair Schalliol left meeting at 4:15 p.m. Staff Liaison Foster, Council
Member Weisenthal, RAAC President John Loch, City Clerk Clarissa Hadler, former Council
Member Shoe-Corrigan and Recording Secretary Anne Hayes were also present. Commissioners
Hinderaker, Mitchell, Nelson, Peterson, Saal, Turner and Westman were absent.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
Motion Schalliol. Second by Wuellner.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.
Ayes: 8
Nays: 0. Absent: 8 Motion carried.
AUDIENCE INPUT
None.
CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Schalliol. Second by Yambing.
Motion to approve the Consent Agenda.
Ayes: 8
Nays: 0. Absent: 8. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
None.
NEW BUSINESS
7.a. RAAC Tree Lighting Event
John Loch was on hand to answer questions concerning the Tree Lighting Event to be held on
Saturday, November 19 at the Steeple Center. He discussed the plans for music and refreshments
with the Youth Commission and provided fliers for them to distribute.
7.b. Elections Discussion
City Clerk Hadler discussed with the Youth Commission various voting issues, including absentee
voting, precinct boundaries, primaries, electoral college, and also handed out applications for student
election judges.
7.c. Roundtable Discussion
Each Commissioner gave a short statement regarding their various current activities, including
sports, church activities, school clubs and competitions.

None.
8.b. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting of the Youth Commission is scheduled for November 16, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. in the
City Hall Conference Room.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Wuellner and seconded by Edgar that
the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 4:32
p.m.
