HomeMy WebLinkAbout20160316 YCM Minutes ROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS March 16, 2016 CALL TO ORDER Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was th held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2875 145 Street West, Rosemount. Vice-Chairperson Radosevich called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Alex, Andrews, Busho, M. Demuth, S. Demuth, Munson, Saal, Westman and Wuellner present. Staff Liaison Foster, former Council Member Shoe-Corrigan, and Recording Secretary Hayes were present. Commissioners Hinderaker, Jaren Yambing and Joan Yambing were absent. Commissioner Schalliol arrived at 4:02 p.m. Commissioner Corrigan arrived at 4:07 p.m. ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA None. Motion by Radosevich. Second by Busho. Motion to Adopt the Agenda. Ayes: 10 Nays: 0. Absent: 5 Motion carried. AUDIENCE INPUT None. CONSENT AGENDA Motion by Radosevich. Second by Saal. Motion to approve the Consent Agenda. a. Minutes of February 24, 2016 Youth Commission Meeting Ayes: 10 Nays: 0. Absent: 5. Motion carried. OLD BUSINESS 5.a. Parks & Recreation Youth Activities Former Council Member Shoe-Corrigan asked the Youth Commission to once again break up into small groups to continue Goal-Setting discussions, both short-term and long-term goals. Commissioners gave positive feedback concerning the goals of their groups. NEW BUSINESS 6.a. Roundtable Discussion Each Commissioner gave a short statement regarding their various current activities, including sports events, Spring Break plans, music/band trips and concert plans. REPORTS 7.a. Commission Member Reports None. 7.b. Next Meeting Date The next meeting of the Youth Commission is scheduled for April 27, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. at the Steeple Center. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Schalliol and seconded by Radosevich that the meeting be adjourned.
