ROSEMOUNT YOUTH COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
January 27, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount Youth Commission was
th
held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 2875 145 Street West,
Rosemount.
Chairperson Schalliol called the meeting to order with Youth Commissioners Alex, Andrews, Busho,
Corrigan, M. Demuth, S. Demuth, Hinderaker, Munson, Radosevich, Saal, Westman, Wuellner, Joan
Yambing and Jaren Yambing present. Staff Liaison Foster, Council Member Weisensel, former
Council Member Shoe-Corrigan and Recording Secretary Hayes were present.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
None.
Motion by Schalliol. Second by Alex.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.

Nays: 0. Absent: 0 Motion carried.

CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Schalliol. Second by Radosevich.
Motion to approve the Consent Agenda.

OLD BUSINESS
5.a. Star Wars Event Follow-up
Commissioner Westman offered a recap of the Star Wars Event held January 16, 2016. Westman
reported a large turnout and the event was well received. It was mentioned by former Council
member Shoe-Corrigan most of the commissioners were unable to participate in the event this year
due to a long weekend with students being out of town and suggested providing feedback to RAAC
about this for future planning of this event.
NEW BUSINESS
6.a. 2016 Goal Setting Session
The Youth Commission broke up into 3 groups of 5 people. Each group included seniors, juniors
and sophomores. The groups selected long and short term goals to present to the group as a whole.
The Commission will work on the pulling the information together at the next meeting so that a
new list of Commission Goals can be created for the current year.
6.b. Roundtable Discussion
Commissioners shared their activities and updates including miscellaneous high school events
(sports, concerts, DECA, leadership conference, speech), and reports on several college
visits/applications.

None.
7.b. Next Meeting Date
The next meeting of the Youth Commission is scheduled for February 24, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. at City
Hall.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, it was moved by Schalliol and seconded by Radosevich
that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at
4:51 p.m.
