The proposed project will reconstruct the existing 4 -lane section on Trunk Highway (TH) 149 to a 6 -lane section, from its north intersection with TH 55 to Interstate 494 North ramp. A location map for the project is attached TH 149 plays an important role in the regional transportation network. A number of communities south and east of Eagan use TH 149 as an access point to I -494 The proposed project will increase the capacity of TH 149 to accommodate growth and development within the region. As the lead agency requesting federal funding, it would be very helpful to the City of Eagan if the city of Rosemount would provide a letter of support for this project. A letter of support may state that any portion of the proposed project is included in a 5 -Year Capital Improvement Program (CEP), funding has been set aside for this project, or there is a potential willingness to participate in the funding of this project Statements indicating this project's benefit to the overall regional transportation system would also be appropriate. I would like to thank you in advance for any support the city of Rosemount can provide in helping us to obtain funding for this important transportation improvement Please contact me if you have any questions or would like additional information regarding any portion of this project Your response is requested pnor to July 22.
