EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ISSUE
In February of 2005, the City approved a Service Agreement with the Leprechaun Days Committee. As in
years past, street closing requests and the addition of events to the service agreement have been brought to
the City Council for their approval.
SUMMARY
The current requests for street closings include:
1. Big Wheel, Trike and Scooter Races plus Penny Scramble Wednesday, July 27 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Burma Ave from 145 St. to 146`
2. Parade Saturday, July 30 -10.00 am to 2:15 pm
Starting at RHS Chili Ave. south to 145 east on 145t Street to Camero Ave, Camero Ave.
north to RIMS
Listed below are the new events that are being proposed as additions to this year's celebration since the
onginal Service Agreement was approved in February of 2005. The Service Agreement calls for approval
of all events by the City Council. Staff proposes that these events be added to the Service Agreement
through an amendment that would be drafted by our City Attorney and signed by all necessary parties. The
new events for the 2005 Leprechaun Days Celebration include:
Fireball Open Golf Tournament
Lighten Up the Leprechauns Lighthouse Church
Children's Coloring Contest
Big Band Concert
