ISSUE
The City Council annually sets goals for the community and the organization.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
SUMMARY
The City Council met in April and again m late May 2005 to review strategic issues facing the Rosemount
community and the City of Rosemount organization. After much discussion in two separate meetings, the
City Council identified the following five strategic issues as prionties for focused attention in 2005 and
2006.
1. Defining mix and quality of amenities appropriate to Rosemount
2. Achieving balanced growth
3. Maintaining service levels and quality while expanding
4. Achieving a competitive tax rate with other cities in market area
5. Accomplishing downtown redevelopment
The strategic issues are accompanied by a set of issue specific goals and work plan deliverables. The fully
formatted Strategic Issues document will be provided prior to the Council meeting.
