the Rosemount City Council to Monday, August 1, 2005 (or agreed upon date).

City Council Regular Meeting: July 5, 2005
ISSUE
Change a regular meeting date and give lawful notice.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
BACKGROUND
The Council has m the past participated in block parties for the National Nights Out program held
throughout the United States on Tuesday, August 2 to bring attention to crime solving issues. This is also
the first regular meeting of the month for the Rosemount City Council. Staff suggests that the meeting be
moved to Monday, August 1 and the start time could remain the same, 7.30 p m.
The Council Members and Mayor have found the opportunity to speak with residents very valuable. The
Council divides the block parties between themselves so each neighborhood can ask questions and voice
concerns.
The meeting change will be published and posted to also bring attention to the National Night -Out
program.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends moving the regular City Council meeting of August 2 to Monday August 1 or
an agreed upon date to begin at 7:30 p.m.
